In Reception we have been learning about some of the 2D shapes. We discovered the work of an artist called Kandinsky who enjoys creating pieces of art using shapes. We especially liked his piece "Concentric Circles" and decided that we would like to replicate his work. The children carefully selected different sized circular objects to make the concentric circle outline and then carefully painted each circle. We put each piece together to create a class collaboration. All of the children in Dragonflies and Fireflies were very proud of their final class piece.
